Heating and Cooling Tips

HVAC stands for Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning.  These 3 reminders will help your unit work to its fullest potential without overloading your electric bill:

  • Change your air filter every 30 days.  Purchase the 30 day filters that cost no more than $1.50.  DO NOT buy the 90 day filters.  These filters are made with a thicker material making your unit work harder than it needs to.  This will affect your heating and cooling costs.
  • Change your battery in your thermostat as soon as it tells you to.  LOW BATTERY can affect the operation of the unit.  We suggest using a name brand battery; Duracell or Energizer.
  • Leave your TSTAT on 78 (during the summer) and 68 (during the winter) while away at work or vacation.  Your home will be comfortable upon arrival.

HAPPY LIVING!
